Italian Coffee Cream, or Crema di Caffè, mixes espresso with cream and sugar. This blend becomes a smooth, frothy treat. It’s great as a drink or a topping, making it a favorite in Italy.

Ingredients

1 cup of heavy cream 1 cup of strong espresso ½ cup of condensed milk 2 tablespoons of sugar 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract

Begin by brewing a cup of strong espresso. The stronger the coffee, the more pronounced the flavor in your cream. Allow the espresso to cool to room temperature. This step is crucial, as adding hot espresso can cause the cream to curdle.

Step 1

In a large mixing bowl, pour in the heavy cream. Using an electric mixer or a whisk, whip the cream until it forms soft peaks. This means the cream should hold its shape but still be smooth and glossy.

Step 2

Gently fold the cooled espresso into the whipped cream, being careful not to deflate the mixture. Next, add the sweetened condensed milk, sugar, and vanilla extract. Continue to fold the ingredients until they are fully incorporated and the mixture is smooth and uniform.

Scoop the diced avocado flesh out of the skin and onto the toasted bread. Mash the avocado with the back of a fork.
